Percival Trompf

Percival Trompf (1902–1964) was a distinguished Australian artist and illustrator celebrated for his unique style and significant contributions to Australian art. Renowned primarily for his work as a commercial artist, Trompf is especially recognized for his travel posters and illustrations that vividly depict the essence of mid-20th-century Australia.

Trompf's work achieved international acclaim, with his posters receiving honors from the Royal Society of Arts in London and winning the 1934 Ideal Label Contest. In 1938, he further cemented his global reputation with a commissioned poster for the Canadian Pacific Railway.
