LU LU Petit Beurre – Lefevre Utile

This classic text-based poster promotes the beloved cookie brand Lefèvre-Utile, more commonly known as LU. Featured here is their most famous creation – the Petit-Beurre biscuit.

Founded in 1846 in Nantes, France, by Jean-Romain Lefèvre and Pauline-Isabelle Utile, the company quickly became a household name. The renowned artist Alphonse Mucha was the first to abbreviate the brand's name to 'LU,' a moniker that endures to this day. By 1910, LU’s factory in Nantes was producing over 6,000 tons of biscuits annually and employing 1,200 workers.

Still thriving, LU remains an iconic brand, with its biscuits enjoyed in many countries worldwide.
